Volunteering at School & Private Vehicle Transport to School Events
In line with the Department’s Working with Children policy and procedures, parents and close relatives of students who would like to volunteer for activities within the school, are required to complete a Declaration for Child Related Contractors and show one government issued photo ID document with full name, date of birth and current residential address, and if relevant, one change of name document. Note: you will be required to show/provide more than one identity document if you don’t have a single document that contains all the required information mentioned.
This Declaration and ID only needs to be completed once for the period that your children are enrolled at JPS. Please complete the Declaration, print, sign and bring to the school with your photo ID to be sighted by office staff before the event.
If you are providing private vehicle transport for students to an event, in addition to ensuring you have completed a Declaration for Volunteers and Non-Child Related Contractors, you will also need to provide a copy of your current drivers licence and vehicle registration papers. Your drivers licence and vehicle registration needs to be provided each time you transport.
