Creative arts is mandatory for students from Kindergarten to Year 6.
In creative arts, students discover a variety of art forms through a study of dance, drama, music and visual arts where they learn to appreciate, compose, listen, make and perform.
Each art form has its own unique knowledge and skills, elements or concepts as well as a capacity to inspire and enrich lives.
At Jerrabomberra we operate a whole school music program. Every student receives a weekly music lesson from a qualified music teacher. We also operate senior and junior choirs.
An instrumental music program is offered through an external provider, Musicorp. This is a user pay service with lessons conducted during school hours. As competence is gained, students progress to the school band.
A district performing arts festival is supported annually by our school.
Public speaking and debating also hold a high priority.
